...And mark your calendar to leave your non-perishable food donations at your mailbox for your postal worker to deliver to the Oldsmar Cares food pantry.

We especially appreciate the involvement of community businesses.  Oldsmar Storage (13850 W. Hillsborough Ave) has provided a storage unit for food collected during this event and Famous Pizza (109 Fairfield St) is donating pizza for all three of our volunteer shifts.

Just an hour of your time makes a huge difference to Oldsmar neighbors who have fallen on hard times.
Every dollar directly assists a family in the Oldsmar community.

Friday, March 30 we hosted an open house from 4-7 pm to celebrate the latest milestone in Oldsmar Cares' long and successful journey to serve the residents of our community. More than 50 guests attended the official ribbon cutting ceremony, organized by the Chamber of Commerce at our new home.

Thank you to all of the volunteers and businesses for the hard work and generous donations to this project, especially Linda Norris, Kenny Gaulin, Doug Morton, Dan Brockway and Lowe's Home Improvement. A special thank you to the Oldsmar Community United Methodist Church for serving as our host site for many wonderful years of growth.

Our all-volunteer food pantry, clothes closet and rent/utility assistance program is now open for business at it's new location.

About Us
Oldsmar Cares was established in 1997 as a volunteer organization to provide the basic needs–food, shelter, and clothing–within our community. Many of the families we serve have few options to keep food on the table and suitable clothing for school, work, or to seek employment. Our aim is to assist our neighbors so that we may help them through difficult times and support their efforts to work toward a better life for themselves and their families.

We offer residents in need, food, clothing and the opportunity for rent and utilities assistance. Caring neighbors volunteer in our food pantry and clothes closet and numerous food and clothing drives throughout the year. Generous donations from local residents, businesses, and the City of Oldsmar support all aspects of our program.

Oldmar Cares is founded on the principal that Oldsmar is a neighborhood where each of us must look out for the other. We believe that the support and genuine care we provide our residents who have fallen on hard times will ensure that they have the necessities for life. We have proof that this philosophy works: people who were once recipients of our assistance are now volunteers and donors.

Oldsmar Cares strives to break the cycle of poverty, starting with our own. Our investment in the well being of those here at home is an investment in the future of the our community.

Please join us as a volunteer or donate to Oldsmar Cares. Each of us is important to the future of our friends and neighbors in need.
