Host site, administrative support:
Community CUMC is the host site for the food pantry, clothes closet and for the disbursement of funds for rent and utility assistance. It is also the site of the annual yard sale. Donations of food, clothes and money can be made at the host site as well.

City of Oldsmar
Visibility, Publicity and Fundraising:
The City of Oldsmar has allowed Oldsmar Cares to participate in city events by providing the publicity and booth space so we can distribute information and accept food and monetary donations.
Food Donations permanent drop-off sites:
The City of Oldsmar has donated 24 recycling bins to Oldsmar Cares for use in food donations, and has provided donation sites in city buildings. Unopened, non-perishable boxes or cans of food can be donated in the designated blue bins at these City of Oldsmar sites. Please check with the city regarding times that each site is open for donations.

Each of these schools has conducted a food drive during the fall of 2010 for Oldsmar Cares.
The
Upper Tampa Bay Chamber of Commerce allows Oldsmar Cares to participate in
chamber events. Our presence at Chamber events. They
also provide event and ongoing publicity via their chamber newsletter the
Oldsmar Community News. This support helps us to distribute
information, hold fundraisers and accept food and monetary donations. Visibility, Publicity:
The Nielsen Company donates their booth at City of Oldsmar and Upper Tampa Bay Chamber of Commerce events to Oldsmar Cares. In addition they produce printed materials and mailings for Oldsmar Cares at no cost. They host annual corporate events, where Oldsmar Cares is allowed to showcase its mission and raise funds for local projects. Oldsmar Cares is now a member of the Feeding America network. This is a national organization, with regional food banks which support local food pantries. The Oldsmar Cares food pantry is served by the Pinellas/Clearwater food bank. Oldsmar Cares is allowed to purchase food from this organization at significant discounts. Impact Grafx

Impact Grafx donated the time and effort required to create the Oldsmar Cares logo and all graphic and design work for the Oldsmar Cares Wine & Food Gala invitations, tickets, posters, and programs.

Rotary of Oldsmar
Food Donations / Monetary Donations:
On December 9, 2010, the Oldsmar Rotary presented Oldsmar Cares with a check for $1,000 to buy food for our food pantry. Our thanks to Colleen Morrisette and all of the Oldsmar Rotary for this support.
They collect food from participants of their annual Armadillo Run in March and donate it to Oldsmar Cares. In addition, they provide t-shirt overstock from previous races as clothing donations to the clothes closet.
The Oldsmar Rotary makes monthly deliveries to our food pantry from food and monetary collections at their weekly lunches.
Rotary of Upper Tampa Bay Monetary Donations On December 16, 2010, the Rotary of East Lake/Sunrise presented Oldsmar Cares with a check for $1000 to buy food for our food pantry. Our thanks to Collette and all of the East Lake/Sunrise Rotarians for this support. Read "East Lake Sunrise Rotary's Thousand Dollar Thursday" in the Neighborhood News.
Also, the annual Armadillo Run in Oldsmar, next scheduled for March 2012, the Rotary of Oldsmar/East Lake collects food from race participants for Oldsmar Cares.

Each week 7-11 of Oldsmar donates excess food from their store to Oldsmar Cares which we provide to customers of the food pantry as a supplemental food source to the non-perishables in stock.

Annual Food Drive: Each year in November the Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts in Oldsmar have an annual food drive with the donations picked up and delivered right to Oldsmar Cares.

Oldsmar Cares is a member of the Tampa Bay Harvest (TBH) food bank network, receiving food distributions from TBH several times each year on an as-needed basis.

There are many services that we do not offer. For many of them, we refer people in need to the NFC, located at 1001 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street, Safety Harbor. The staff at Neighborhood Family Center also provides guidance in running a non-profit organization.
